Snow Removal Time Estimator
Estimate how long it will take to clear snow from a given area based on snow depth, equipment type, and crew size.
Formula
Effective Rate = BaseRate × DepthFactor
DepthFactor = 1 / (1 + k × (depth − 1))
Total Time (hrs) = (Area / EffectiveRate) × ConditionFactor / CrewSize
Where k is an equipment-specific depth resistance coefficient
(shovel: 0.20, single-stage blower: 0.15, two-stage blower: 0.10,
small plow: 0.07, large plow: 0.04).
The depth factor equals 1.0 at 1-inch reference depth and decreases
as snow depth increases, reflecting the greater effort required to
move larger volumes of snow per pass.
